The Jeanerette Museum will present, “NASA: Before the Curtain Goes Up,” at 6 p.m. on Jan. 27.
An award ceremony was held Thursday at Conrad Shipyard in Amelia. A University of Louisiana at Lafayette research project aboard the International Space Station will study how plants sense and react to gravity. Brassica rapa plants have been encapsulated in a semi-autonomous device and exposed to powerful magnetic fields. The objective of the biology research is to examine how directional forces affect plant growth in a nearly weightless environment.
