Plaisance and Punch joined in marriage

Kera Lanay Plaisance and Jacob James Punch exchanged vows during a double-ring, candlelight, nuptial mass on January 22 at 7 p.m. at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. Father Cedric Sonnier officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kerry Plaisance of Cutoff and Paula Folse of Houma. The groom is the son of Camile and Angela Punch of Franklin.
The bride, escorted by her father, wore a Sophia Tolli strapless, A-line gown with tulle and a back corset bodice. The gown was adorned with a sash and crystal brooch at the waist and featured a chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of white roses with lilies and baby’s breath.
Alisa Plaisiance, sister-in-law of the bride, served as the maid of honor. The matron of honor was Emily Boudreaux, cousin of the groom. The bridesmaids were Ashley Punch, sister of the groom, and Megan Gaudet.
The attendants wore long, blue, one-shoulder gowns by Vera Wang, with crepe bodices and satin sashes around the waists. They carried bouquets of white roses, daisies and blue baby’s breath.
Seth St. Martin, cousin of the groom, served as the best man. The groomsmen were A.J. Sepulvado; Brandin Gaudet, cousin of the bride and Ryan Boudreaux.
Gabriella St. Martin, cousin of the groom, served as the flower girl and Aiden St. Martin, godchild of the groom, served as the ring bearer.
The gift bearers were Amber Faust and Bethany Folse, stepsister of the bride.
Teddy Baudoin provided the music.
The ushers were Camile Punch, father of the groom, and Wayne Folse, stepfather of the bride.
Following a reception held at Royal Villa in Raceland, the couple departed for a honeymoon trip to Aruba, Grand Turks and Curacao.
The couple now resides in Thibodaux.
