Festival-goers were treated to a variety of merchants and displays during the 37th annual arts and crafts show at the Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival.
With out-of-town guests taking their leave, the festival was turned over to locals for its final day on Monday..
The festival weekend featured lots of food, much of it sold by non-profits in Lawrence Park to benefit various charitable causes, and one group even gave away free jambalaya.
Sunday’s blessing of the fleet ceremony was very meaningful to celebrant the Rev. Michael Russo, pastor of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lafayette.
The Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival continues through Monday and organizers are hoping it will be one of the best years yet despite the forecast.
