Central Catholic held off a last-ditch effort for a touchdown by Vermilion Catholic for a 20-13 victory at the Iron Man Jamboree at Teurlings Catholic Thursday.
The Central Catholic High School volleyball team returns a wealth of experience in 2016. The team finished its 2015 season with a 19-22 mark, falling in the second round of the Division V postseason to eventual state runner-up Ascension Episcopal. A large, experienced senior class will lead the Central Catholic Eagle football team into the 2016 season.
The Class 1A school has 12 seniors on its 47-player roster.
