Stewart, Robinson compete in Ark.

Five first-place finishes and multiple personal bests paced the Southeastern men’s and women’s track and field teams at the A-State Invitational, hosted by Arkansas State, Friday.
“It was another good showing for the Lions, against sold teams from different conferences,” head coach Sean Brady said in a news release.
Among the first-place finishes was Central Catholic alum Nia Stewart’s finish in the women’s long jump. Stewart finished in first place for the second consecutive week after jumping 18 feet, five inches Friday.
She also finished 10th in the women’s 200-meter dash with a time of 26.01.
Meanwhile, Central Catholic alum Kendall Robinson placed third in the men’s high jump with a leap of 6 feet, 9.75 inches.
Southeastern, along with the University of Louisiana-Monroe — where Patterson High alum Jonathan Jeffcoat runs track — will return to action Thursday at the KMS Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
