3 injured in Patterson crash

Three people were hospitalized with moderate to severe injuries after a car pulled out in front of a pickup truck causing a crash Tuesday at the intersection of U.S. 90 and Red Cypress Road in Patterson, according to Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle.
The call reporting the wreck came in at 4:55 p.m. Tuesday. The driver of the 1995 Honda Accord, Larquanda Williams, 20, of Kemper Street in Patterson, had to be extricated from the car, LaSalle said. Williams and two passengers in the vehicle were transported to a hospital. Sheryl Conley of Mill Road in Patterson and sustained moderate to severe injuries, LaSalle said.
Earlaun Edwards, 19, of Patterson, was treated for minor injuries at Teche Regional Medical Center and released, Spokeswoman Sabrina Roy said.
The Honda Accord came off Red Cypress Road onto U.S. 90 and was struck by a GMC pickup truck, LaSalle said. The driver of the pickup truck, Joseph Little, 52, of Vinton, was not injured, he said.
Williams was cited for failure to yield with an accident.
