Arrest reports
Two people were arrested Monday for distribution of illegal drugs in two separate investigations after they sold the drugs to undercover officers, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Sabrina E. White, 39, of the 100 block of Village Lane in Amelia, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. Monday on a warrant for distribution of Schedule III Lortab, distribution of Schedule IV Adipex and violation of controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone).
Narcotics detectives went to a residence in the 100 block of Village Lane in Amelia to locate White who was wanted on active warrant. The warrant stems from a prior investigation during which White sold Lortab and Adipex to undercover officers, Hebert said. White was jailed with no bail set.
—Leo Mingo, 47, of the 1000 block of Joseph Street in Siracusaville, was arrested at 5:16 p.m. Monday on two warrants for distribution of crack cocaine. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Siracusaville area observed Mingo walking on James Street. Detectives knew of the active warrants for his arrest and made contact with Mingo. The warrants stem from a prior investigation during which Mingo sold crack cocaine to undercover officers, Hebert said. Mingo was jailed with no bail set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 36 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Corey Jordan, 25, of the 200 block of Commerce Street in Longview, Texas, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. Monday for possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives patrolling the Bayou Vista area observed a parked vehicle blocking the through way at a motel. Detectives made contact with Jordan, who admitted to detectives that he had marijuana in the vehicle. Detectives located marijuana, methamphetamine, rolling papers and straws. Jordan was jailed with no bail set.
—Jacoby Roberts, 23, no address available, was arrested for three counts issuing worthless checks and released on a summons to appear in court.
—Ciji Davis, 31, of the 3800 block of Francis Street in Berwick, was arrested at 11:41 p.m. Monday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and driving under suspension. Davis was brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bounty hunter on bail surrender and released on $1,000 bail.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrest:
—Carl J. Thibodeaux, 26, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:07 p.m. Monday on a warrant for possession of Schedule II methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
Narcotics detectives were conducting an investigation into drug activity at a La. 182 motel. Detectives located Thibodeaux at the motel and placed him under arrest on the outstanding warrant. He was jailed on $25,000 bail.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Kara Foster, 23, of the 100 block of Guzzetta Drive in Berwick, was arrested at 5:44 p.m. Monday on warrants for unauthorized use of a moveable and theft of goods. Foster was released on bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Anthony J. Penison Jr., 42, of the 1300 block of Ninth Street in Patterson, was arrested at 11:47 p.m. Monday for simple battery. Penison was jailed on $396 bail.
