Arrest reports

Morgan City Assistant Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Kristen S. Evans, 21, of Joseph Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 4:59 p.m. Thursday for theft ($127.72).
Officers were summoned to a La. 182 department store in regard to an employee making fraudulent charges at a cash register. Officers located Evans, a store clerk, and learned from management that Evans made fraudulent transactions and had committed the theft of funds valued at $127.72, Banks said. Evans was jailed and released after posting cash bail.
—Dane A. Farrington, 31, of Keith Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia second offense.
Officers in the area of Keith Street observed two people run from the scene and detained them after a short foot pursuit, Banks said. One person, identified as Farrington, was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. He was jailed.
—Cregory L. Johnson, 22, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:36 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Shanice L. Marshall, 21, of La. 182 in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:36 p.m. Thursday for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no license plate illumination.
An officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Florence Street and La. 182. During the investigation, and acting on suspicion, officers went to their residence and received consent to search, he said. During that search, marijuana and items of paraphernalia were located, he said. Both were jailed.
—Wolfe Levy, 32, of Onstead Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:03 a.m. Thursday on a warrant from Franklin police for unauthorized entry and a warrant for simple criminal damage to property. Levy was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 38 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Jerica Ford, 24, of the 500 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Street in Patterson, was arrested at 9:09 p.m. Thursday for remaining where forbidden. While conducting a courtesy walk-through at a business on U.S. 90 in the Patterson area, a deputy observed the clerk ask a subject to leave the business. The person, later identified as Ford, left the business, but then returned a short time later. Ford was jailed and released on $500 bail.
—Charmaine S. Hebert, 28, of the 300 block of La. 182 in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 6:08 p.m. Thursday for possession of synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute and improper lane usage.
—Megan R. Gaudet, 22, of the 300 block of La. 182 in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 6:08 p.m. Thursday for possession of synthetic cannabinoids and obstruction of justice.
Narcotics detectives observed a vehicle cross fog lines on La. 70 in Morgan City and conducted a traffic stop. Detectives made contact with the occupants identified as Hebert and Gaudet. Detectives received consent to search and located several packs of synthetic cannabinoids concealed on Gaudet and inside the vehicle. After seeing narcotics detectives, Gaudet attempted to hide the packs of illegal drugs in her pants, Hebert said. Gaudet and Hebert were jailed with no bail set.
—Mary Anne Norris, 23, of the 300 block of Venus Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 7:09 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft.
—Lucius P. Romero, 38, of the 1400 block of N. Third Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:09 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for parole violation.
—Misty Lefleur, 32, of the 3500 block of Second Street in Berwick, was arrested at 7:09 p.m. Thursday for possession Schedule IV (Xanax) and possession of Legend Drug (Toradol) without a prescription.
Narcotics detectives conducting an investigation at a motel in Morgan City located two subjects who held active warrants for their arrest. Detectives also located Xanax and Toradol pills belonging to Lefleur in the room. All three were jailed. No bail is set for Romero or Lefleur. Bail for Norris is set at $1,100.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
