Arrests reports

Three people were charged this morning after St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at a Patterson residence discovering cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a firearm at the residence, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Rebecca Johnson, 56, of the 1400 block of First Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:41 a.m. today for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Robert Johnson Sr., 54, of the 1400 block of First Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:41 a.m. today for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Artey Foulcard, 36, of the 600 block of Carl C. Foulcard Drive in Franklin, was arrested at 2:41 a.m. today for possession of marijuana second offense and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Narcotics detectives executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1400 block of First Street in Patterson locating a bag of marijuana along with several bags of cocaine, items utilized in the cooking of crack cocaine (whisk and measuring cup), digital scales, and a firearm, Hebert said.
Following the investigation, two residents, Rebecca Johnson and Robert Johnson, along with another person at the location, Foulcard, were jailed with no bail set.
Hebert reported responding to 41 complaints and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Brent Dalton, 33, of the 100 block of Sydney Jo Lane in Berwick, was arrested at 2:39 p.m. Monday on two warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. Dalton turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrants. Bail is set at $200,000.
—Kyle Cedotal, 17, of the 800 block of Shell Beach Road in Pierre Part, was arrested at 4:33 p.m. Monday for theft of goods.
—Dillon Sanchez, 17, of the 36300 block of La. 69 in White Castle, was arrested at 4:33 p.m. Monday for theft of goods.
A deputy investigating a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista obtained video surveillance footage of Cedotal and Sanchez working together to remove items from packaging and concealing the goods in an attempt to steal the items. Both were released on summons to appear in court Jan. 26.
—Brendan Murphy, 57, of Fernwood Drive in Houma, was arrested at 4:13 a.m. today for disturbing the peace by intoxication. A deputy responding to a complaint of a suspicious person, made contact with Murphy who had parked his vehicle at a business on La. 182 in Amelia.
While speaking with Murphy, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and also observed Murphy swaying from side to side where he stood. Murphy was jailed with bail set at $500.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Jerell Jones, 23, of Church Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:10 p.m. Monday for remaining where forbidden. Jones was jailed on $307 bail.
—Stephen M. Foret, 22, of the 200 block of St. Peter Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:59 a.m. Saturday for driving while intoxicated first offense, speeding 42 mph in a 35 mph zone, failure to carry registration, no driver’s license and open container in vehicle. Foret was released on $3,500 bail.
—Brittany Johnson, 25, of the 500 block of St. Mary Street in Patterson, was arrested at 9:33 p.m. Sunday for simple battery. Johnson was jailed on $319 bail.
—Edward R. Goodale, 40, of the 500 block of Leo Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. today on a Lafayette Police Department warrant for OWI-first offense. No bail is set yet.
—Ivy Hebert Jr., 21, of the 100 block of Hebert Lane in Baldwin, was arrested at 2:46 a.m. today for possession of marijuana first offense, improper lane usage, no insurance and expired motor vehicle inspection sticker. Hebert was jailed on $2,750 bail.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
—Eugene Green, 35, of La. 182 in Centerville, was arrested at 2 p.m. Monday, on warrants for simple battery on a juvenile and indecent behavior with juveniles. Green was jailed with no bail set yet.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrest:
—Nathaniel A. Rollins, 18, of Patterson, was arrested at 5:09 p.m. Monday for possession of synthetic marijuana with the intent to distribute and violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance law.
Officers patrolling the Belanger Street area came into contact with a suspicious man and stopped to investigate. Rollins, during the encounter, was found to possess several individual bags of suspected synthetic marijuana, Banks said.
Officers gathered evidence which indicated that Rollins had been selling the substance and charged him accordingly. The area that Rollins was detained was within a drug free zone near an elementary school, Banks said. Rollins was jailed.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Ervin Thomas Jr., 28, of Fourth Street in Berwick, was arrested at 8:10 a.m. Monday on a warrant for domestic abuse battery and criminal damage to property. Thomas was released on bail.
—Lee Pierce, 31, of Third Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:52 p.m. Saturday for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling.
—Alton Mizell, 51, of Chestnut Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:23 p.m. Saturday for suspended driver’s license and no turn signal. Mizell was released on bail.
