Arrests reports

Eight men were arrested at the Berwick Boat Landing for hunting on private property.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said a deputy responded to a complaint of trespassing at the Berwick Boat Landing. During the investigation, the deputy found eight men hunting on private property located out of the Berwick Boat Landing.
Each was charged Saturday with criminal trespass. They are:
—Clay B. Elliott, 56, of La. 1 in Bayou L’Ourse.
—Jimmie R. Rulf, 52, of Elaine Street in Bayou L’Ourse.
—Ryan P. Boudreaux, 19, of Third Street in Morgan City.
—Williams Durocher, 33, of La. 304 in Thibodaux.
—David Aucoin, 33, of Vivian Street in Bayou L’Ourse.
—Ashton Leger, 24, of Lake Palourde Drive in Amelia.
—Charles Cortez, 58, of Vivian Street in Bayou L’Ourse.
—Thomas Ramagos, 43, of Cedar Street in Thibodaux.
All eight were released on summons to appear in court March 11, 2015.
In other action, Hebert reported the following arrests:
—Quetzel Montoya Rangel, 36, of the 100 block of Martin Lane in Amelia at 5:35 p.m. Friday for possession of cocaine and unlawful possession of fraudulent documents.
—Salvador Montoya Rangel, 44, of the 100 block of Martin Lane in Amelia at 5:35 p.m. Friday for possession of cocaine and unlawful possession of fraudulent documents.
Detectives conducting an investigation into a separate complaint, made contact with the pair at their residence. While speaking with them, detectives observed cocaine inside the residence. Detectives obtained a search warrant. During that search, they also located fraudulent documents depicting both men with different names. They remain jailed with no bail set.
—Felicia Young, 43, of the 1000 block of Ciro Street in Morgan City at 12:28 a.m. Sunday for disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy was called to Ciro Street where he observed a female screaming outside of a residence. Young was later released on a summons to appear in court on March 11, 2015.
Morgan City Police Chief Michael Banks reported the following arrests:
—Terrence Davis, 31, of Bowman Street in Morgan City, at 4:49 p.m. Friday for operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and on St. Mary Parish warrants for contempt of court and speeding.
—Shane K. Scott, 31, of Ciro Street in Morgan City at 4:49 p.m. Friday for resisting an officer, possession of Schedule IV (alprazolam), obstruction of justice and possession of marijuana.
Officers patrolling the La. 182 area near Colonial Plaza Shopping Center came into contact with a stalled vehicle and stopped to assist. The driver of the vehicle, Davis, was discovered to be operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. He also was wanted on outstanding warrants for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department.
As officers were conducting their investigation, a passenger, Scott, reportedly exited the vehicle and began to interfere and cause a disturbance by shouting at officers. He was checked for weapons at which time officers located a box containing several alprazolam pills.
Scott attempted to grab the contraband from the officers. He then fled from officers and had to be subdued, Banks said. Scott attempted to break free from officers several times and was eventually subdued using a Taser, he said.
Both were jailed with no bail set.
—Venetia P. Gros, 55, of Stephensville Road in Morgan City at 7:33 p.m. Friday for disturbing the peace.
Gros was arrested after officers received a complaint of a disturbance at a La. 182 apartment complex. She was located at the residence barricaded in the bathroom. She was reported by the complainant causing a disturbance by throwing objects and damaging property inside the apartment, then refusing to leave, Banks said.
She remains jailed with no bail set.
—Joshua M. Davis, 28, of Allison Street in Morgan City at 12:55 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to pay his probation fee for a simple assault charge.
Officers arrested Davis on an outstanding warrant for the City Court of Morgan City after he was located at the Morgan City Police Department jail facility attempting to visit an inmate. He was released after posting $175 bail.
—Lucius Romero, 39, of N. Third Street in Morgan City at 5:34 p.m. Sunday for entry on premises after being forbidden.
Romero was located at a Third Street residence and arrested for entering the premises after being forbidden by the owner of the residence as well as officers. He remains jailed.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Breyden Oncale, 22, of Onstead Street in Morgan City at 3:22 p.m. Friday on warrants for misuse of toxic vapors, third offense possession of synthetic cannabinoids and third offense possession of drug paraphernalia. Oncale remains jailed with no bail set.
—Joseph Acosta, 22, of Grove Street in Morgan City at 4:30 p.m. Saturday for driving under suspension. He was located at the Berwick Police Department where he posted $1,000 bail and was released.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Calvin Mitchell, 43, of the 1500 block of Live Oak Street in Patterson at 6:12 a.m. Saturday at his home for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and three counts of possession of a prescription drug without a prescription. Mitchell remains jailed with no bail set.
—Desmond Richard, 33, of the 300 block of Mike Drive in Patterson at 12:39 p.m. Saturday at a U.S. 90 business for disturbing the peace by language, resisting a police officer with force and simple criminal damage to property. He remains jailed with no bail set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
—Raven Vilo, 22, of Washington Street in Patterson at 6:20 a.m. Sunday on a charge of speeding 40/25 mph and on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and failure to honor a written promise.
Vilo was released on $250 bail to appear in Third Ward City Court for speeding and a $349.50 cash bond for the failure to appear warrant.
