Bayou L'Ourse man charged with molesting 6-year-old girl

A 47-year-old Bayou L'Ourse man has been charged with molesting a 6-year-old girl, Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon said in a news release.
On June 19, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of a potential child molestation which occurred in the Bayou L’Ourse community.
The report was received from a Good Samaritan to whom the child disclosed she had been molested by Tommy E. Lishman, 47, of the 100 block of Aristile Road in Bayou L’Ourse.
Investigators learned the child had been inappropriately touched on more than one occasion by Lishman. On June 21, Lishman was interviewed by detectives, at which time he admitted to having inappropriately touched the 6-year-old juvenile on more than one occasion at a residence in Bayou L’Ourse.
Lishman was subsequently arrested and transported to the detention center in Napoleonville. Lishman was charged with molestation of a juvenile. Bail hasn't been set yet.
