Detectives investigating reported armed robbery

An investigation is ongoing into a report of a July armed robbery at a fast-food restaurant in Bayou Vista, St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Traci Landry said this morning.
Just after 3 a.m. July 25, the sheriff’s office received a report of an armed robbery at Burger King in Bayou Vista, Landry said. Detectives are currently actively investigating the case, Landry said.
“We don’t, at this point, believe that there is a danger to the community because of this event,” Landry said. “We do believe that it is an isolated event.”
Landry did not release any other information on the case.
