Franklin man on ‘Most Wanted’ list caught

A 37-year-old Franklin man who was featured in The Daily Review’s Most Wanted edition was captured this morning, Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire said in a news release.
Derrick Lovely, 37, of Iberia Street in Franklin, was arrested at 1:08 a.m. today on a warrant for flight from an officer. Lovely was also arrested on a warrant for parole violation. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
On June 28, four officers were on Gum Street on a separate complaint when they saw Lovely. Officers attempted to make contact with Lovely regarding warrants for another jurisdiction, McGuire said. Lovely ran from officers, and officers were unable to locate him after giving chase, McGuire said.
