Juvenile arrested after kicking walls, striking female

A 15-year-old Patterson male was arrested Friday after he struck a female and kicked the walls of a residence, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
He was arrested at 3:58 p.m. Friday for ungovernable juvenile and simple battery. A deputy responded to a report of an ungovernable juvenile at a residence in the Patterson area. During the investigation, the deputy learned that the juvenile began cursing and kicking the walls of the residence before striking a female, Hebert said. The juvenile was taken to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City for processing before being released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 177 complaints over a 72-hour period in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Alex Horton, 25, of the 100 block of Julia Street in Amelia, was arrested at 7 p.m. Thursday for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a report of domestic abuse at a residence on Julia Street in Amelia. During the investigation, the deputy determined that Horton slapped a female in the head during an argument. The woman fled the residence in order to get away from Horton. The victim declined medical treatment. Horton was taken to the parish jail and held. Horton was released on $5,000 bail.
—Alisa Ross, 32, no address available, was arrested at 6:27 p.m. Friday on warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy working detail at Patterson High School came into contact with Ross who was wanted on the warrants. Ross was released on a summons to appear in court on Jan. 31.
—Jan Marie Keller, 50, of the 1000 block of North Belle River Road in Pierre Part, was arrested at 12:35 p.m. Saturday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Keller was seen concealing goods in her purse before attempting to leave the store without paying for the items. Keller was taken to the parish jail and held. Her bail is set at $1,000.
—Jonathan Ray Perro, 24, of the 2000 block of Keith Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:08 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for probation violation. A deputy made contact with Perro at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City. Perro was taken to the parish jail and held. Bail is set at $10,000.
—Joell Nicole Alcina, 19, of the 200 block of Foxglove Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 1:50 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of theft of goods. A deputy located Alcina at her residence on the warrant. Alcina was taken to the parish jail and held. She was released on $500 bail.
—Harold Henderson, 33, of the 700 block of Utah Street in Berwick, was arrested at 1:36 p.m. Sunday for violating the parish littering ordinance. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on La. 182 in Amelia after watching a vehicle follow another vehicle too closely. While initiating the traffic stop, the deputy also observed the driver throw a lit cigarette out of the vehicle’s window. The deputy made contact with the driver and identified him as Henderson. Henderson was also issued a ticket for following too closely. He was released on a summons to appear in court on Jan. 31.
—Catherine W. Saucier, 63, of the 500 block of Flatown Road in Jeanerette, was arrested at 1:45 p.m. Sunday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Saucier failed to pay for several items before leaving the store. Saucier was released on a summons to appear in court on Jan. 31.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Heather Harvey, 29, of the 100 block of Mars Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:58 a.m. Friday for simple criminal damage to property. Harvey was released on $1,000 bail.
—Rodney Tremaine Nash, 29, of the 400 block of Grout Street in Patterson, was arrested at 9:01 p.m. Sunday on a warrant from the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office for criminal neglect of family. Bail is set at $11,459.14.
St. Martin Parish Sheriff Ronnie Theriot reported the following arrest:
—Shane Scully, 25, of the 2400 block of Pecan Street in Morgan City, was arrested for failure to appear.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
