Kaplan man on ‘Most Wanted’ list transferred to St. Mary Parish jail

A 36-year-old Kaplan man, who had been featured in The Daily Review’s Most Wanted edition, was transferred to the St. Mary Parish jail Tuesday, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
Carlin D. Stelly, 36, of the 200 block of Foot Street in Kaplan, was arrested at 10:16 p.m. Tuesday on three warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of second degree battery. Stelly was transferred from another jurisdiction to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. No bail is set.
Stelly was being held in the Vermilion Parish Jail, Hebert said in an August news release.
