Morgan City man arrested on carnal knowledge charge
A 20-year-old Morgan City man was booked Friday on a warrant charging him with carnal knowledge of a juvenile stemming from an incident that occurred earlier in the month, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Nicholas N. Castle, 20, of Shannon Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:40 p.m. Friday on the charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
On Friday, Castle came to the police department in regard to an investigation in an incident reported Oct. 15 of alleged carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
During the investigation, detectives found evidence of the alleged incident. Castle was jailed.
Blair reported the following arrests:
—Ricky D. Pillaro, 61, of La. 182 Morgan City, was arrested at 12:57 p.m. Friday on warrants charging him with forgery and theft.
Officers near Patton and Pecos streets located Pillaro where he was arrested on warrants. The warrants were obtained from an investigation into an incident reported Sept. 13 of an alleged forgery and theft. Pillaro was jailed.
—Brodney T. Williams, 27, of N Street in Patterson, was arrested at 2:58 p.m. Friday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery.
Williams was arrested at the police department in regard to a city court warrant. Williams was jailed.
—John Q. Lyons, 51, of Irish Bend Road in Franklin, was arrested at 4:15 p.m. Friday on the charge of theft of utilities.
Officers responded to a home on Glenwood Street in regard to a report of theft of utilities. Police arrived and saw that the electrical meter for the home had been pulled off and power illegally activated for the home. Lyons, who was inside the home, admitted to removing the electrical meter. Lyons was jailed.
—Lucio M. Garcia-Perez, 31, of Railroad Avenue in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:28 a.m. Saturday on the charge of illegal discharging of a firearm within city limits.
Officers responded to a home on Railroad Avenue in regard to a report of several gun shots from the home. Police arrived and located Garcia-Perez inside the home. Police found evidence connecting Garcia-Perez with the alleged fired gun shots.
Officers also located an alligator at the home which was believed to have been shot by Garcia-Perez. Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries was notified and responded to take legal action in regard to the alligator. Garcia-Perez was jailed.
—Gerald Neddie Jr., 44, of Madison Avenue in Baton Rouge, was arrested at 12:39 p.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.
Officers located Neddie in the area of Railroad Avenue and 11th Street and arrested Neddie on a 16th Judicial District Court warrant. Neddie was jailed.
—Joshua C. Driskill, 24, of St. Clair Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:32 p.m. Saturday on the charge of domestic abuse battery child-endangerment law.
Officers responded to the intersection of Sixth Street and Brashear Avenue in regard to a man committing a battery on a woman. Police arrived when they located Driskill and a woman later identified as the victim of a battery. Officers were told by the victim and an off-duty police officer, who had witnessed the incident, that Driskill was seen committing a battery on the woman. The incident happened while in the presence of a child. Driskill was jailed.
—Tara Loupe, 36, of Susan Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 5 p.m. Saturday on the charges of burglary of an inhabited dwelling, criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
—John S. Henry, 31, of Susan Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 5 p.m. Saturday on the charges of burglary of an inhabited dwelling, criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Officers responded to a home on Glenwood Street in regard to a report of a residential burglary. The officers arrived and spoke with the complainant who told officers that as the complainant was returning home, Henry was seen exiting the home.
Henry fled the area, jumping several fences in the neighborhood, and was observed getting into a vehicle driven by Loupe. Officers were further told that Henry had been removed from the home by officers the previous night and was instructed not to return.
A description was provided when officers located Loupe and Henry in the area moments later. During an investigation, officers found evidence of Loupe and Henry’s involvement in the alleged burglary. Both Henry and Loupe were arrested and, when searched, officers located suspected drug paraphernalia. Henry and Loupe were jailed.
—Fernando Soto, 52, of Sixth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:38 p.m. Sunday on the charge of simple battery.
Officers responded to an address on Railroad Avenue in regard to a reported fight. Police arrived and saw a per-son, later identified as Soto, chasing another person, later identified as the victim of a battery. Both subjects were detained for pending investigation.
Police were told that Soto began arguing and was alleged to have committed a battery on the victim. The victim attempted to flee the area as Soto continued to chase the victim on foot. Soto was jailed.
—Trampas J. LaPoint, 29, of Hilda Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:41 p.m. Sunday on a war-rant charging him with telephone harassment. LaPoint was arrested again at 5:42 p.m. Sunday on a warrant charging him with violation of a protective order.
Officers located LaPoint at a home on Hilda Street where he was arrested on a war-rant. The warrant was obtained from an investigation of an incident reported Sept. 11 of alleged telephone harassment.
The violation of a protective order warrant was for 16th Judicial District Court. LaPoint was jailed.
—Wanda K. Warden, 44, of Veterans Boulevard in Patterson, was arrested at 3:05 p.m. Sunday on the charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of gabapentin and possession of hydrocodone.
Officers responded to Seventh Street in regard to a suspicious vehicle reported in the area. As officers arrived, the vehicle attempted to leave the area when a traffic stop was conducted. Warden was identified as an occupant of the vehicle.
Warden’s behavior made officers suspicious that she may be involved in illegal drug activity. A search was conducted, and officers located suspected drug paraphernalia, gabapentin and hydrocodone on Warden. Warden was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 105 complaints in the parish and reported the following arrests in east St. Mary Parish:
—Dicie Fulks, 32, of Cremo Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 10:19 a.m. Sunday on the charge of domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a home in Patterson.
During the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Fulks grabbed a female victim’s face, causing a scratch, during an argument between the two. Fulks was jailed with bail set at $2,500.
—Raoul Sheets, 61, of Myrtle Street in Morgan City, was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. 90 in Berwick. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Sheets, and located the active warrant for his arrest. Sheets was jailed with no bail set.
—Derrick Johnson, 35, of La. 400 in Labadieville, was arrested at 11:25 a.m. Friday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A correctional officer transported Johnson from the Assumption Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $6,000.
—Alexander Voorhies, 31, of Twin Oaks Boulevard in Lafayette, was arrested at 2:43 p.m. Sunday on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Deputies conducting a traffic stop on U.S. 90 in Bayou Vista made contact with the driver, identified as Voorhies. During the stop, Voorhies admitted to deputies that he had a pipe used to smoke marijuana inside the vehicle. Voorhies was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 4.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Porfirio Perez of Oregon Street in Berwick, was arrested at 12:52 p.m. Friday on the charges of driving under suspension and speeding 36 mph in a 20 mph zone. Perez posted $1,500 bail.
—Latasha Jones, 34, of Tournament Boulevard in Berwick, was arrested at 4:22 p.m. Friday on the charge of disturbing the peace. Jones posted $176 bail.
—Henry Brown, 67, of Birch Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. Friday on the charge of open container. Brown posted $301 bail.
—Gavin Cage, 24, of California Street in Berwick, was arrested at 3:46 a.m. Sunday on the charges of windshield view inward and outward must be unobstructed, driver must be licensed, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cage posted $4,000 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Shannon F. Mayon Charlie, 37, of Taft Street in Patterson, was arrested at 8:44 p.m. Friday on the charge of simple assault and on a hold for another jurisdiction. No bail is set yet.
—Anna Sauseda, 33, of Clement Street in Patterson, was arrested at 7:41 p.m. Sunday on the charge of resisting by giving false information. Sauseda was released on $307 bail.
—Halie Mayon, 18, of Taft Street in Patterson, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Friday on the charge of theft by shoplifting. Mayon was released after paying a $427 fine.
—Nikki Rene Mayon, 34, of Shady Grove Drive in Patterson, was arrested at 7:50 p.m. Friday on the charge of theft by shoplifting. Mayon was jailed on $427 bail.
