Pierre Part pharmacy burglarized

Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack reports Richard’s Pharmacy in Pierre Part was burglarized sometime before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call from a citizen stating that they could hear an alarm from a nearby building, Waguespack said.
A deputy was dispatched to the location and arrived on scene three minutes later, he said. Upon arrival it was evident that someone had broken into the back of the pharmacy building, he said.
Additional deputies arrived minutes later and a search of the building was conducted to try and locate the person or persons responsible and to ensure the building was unoccupied.
Assumption Parish Sheriff’s detectives arrived on-scene shortly thereafter and began their investigation.
