Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest:
Deshandra Gaines, 23, of Weber Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 4:09 p.m. on a warrant charging her with simple criminal damage to property. She was released on $1,000 bond.
Chitimacha Police Chief Blaise Smith reported the arrest of Robbie Lee Johnson, 45, of New Iberia, Wednesday at 10 a.m. on a warrant charging him with issuing worthless checks. No bond was set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the arrest of Bernard Davis Sr., 44, of New Iberia, Wednesday at 9:23 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of criminal neglect of family, and warrants charging him with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and disturbing the peace. No bond was set.
Corey Haydell, 37, of Lafayette, was arrested Wednesday at 10:59 a.m. on charges of possession of Schedule I drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a summons.
Aaron Polk, 34, of 319 Neptune St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 11:55 a.m. on a warrant charging him with hit and run and careless operation. He was released on a summons.
Mark A. White, 31, of 122 Alexander Lane, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 12:01 p.m. on a warrant charging him with felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. No bond was set.
Roy C. Hebert, 49, and Melanie D. Nowlin, 42, both of Houma, were arrested Wednesday at 1:19 p.m. on warrants charging them with felony theft. No bonds were set.
Charles Berger, 24, of 1206 Clements Lane, Lot 3, Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday at 1:59 p.m. on a warrant charging him with simple burglary. No bond was set.
Brennan Tabor, 26, of 1625 Chatsworth St., Morgan City, was arrested today at 12:39 a.m. on charges of criminal damage to property and resisting arrest. He was released on $1,500 bond.
Narcotics Division agents arrested four persons during a reported drug investigation in Franklin Wednesday evening.
Antoinette Uze, 23, of 2113 Becnel St., Franklin, was arrested on charges of second offense possession of marijuana and possession of Adderall with intent to distribute.
Caroll Trahan Jr., 55, of 15189 La. 182, Franklin, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of Lortab.
Rory Landry, 32, of 15189 La. 182, Franklin, was charged with distribution of Adderall.
Brent J. Bridges, 29, of 133 Rose Road, Verdunville, was charged with distribution of Adderall, possession of Adderall with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine, resisting an officer by flight and obstruction of justice.
Narcotics detectives conducting an investigation into alleged illegal drug activity at a residence in Franklin observed the driver of a vehicle in the area commit multiple traffic violations. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Uze.
During the traffic stop investigation, detectives located a marijuana cigarette and Adderall pills. Detectives then continued the investigation at the residence at 15189 La. 182.
A male subject, later identified as Bridges, reportedly saw the detectives and fled on foot. During the foot chase, detectives reportedly observed Bridges throwing Adderall pills and bags of meth into the bushes. Bridges was quickly apprehended and found to be in possession of several more Adderall pills and a syringe.
Detectives made contact with Landry and Trahan at the residence and reportedly received consent to search the location. Detectives located marijuana, Lortab pills and several items of drug paraphernalia commonly used in smoking marijuana.
Trahan was released on an $8,500 bond. Landry’s bail is set at $25,000. No bail is set on Uze or Bridges.
