A note containing a bomb threat, found this morning at the Louisiana Energy and Power Authority power plant construction site on Youngs Road in Morgan City, was determined to be a hoax, according to Morgan City Police.
Police closed off part of Youngs Road in Morgan City this morning after a handwritten note was found in a portable restroom on the premises of the Louisiana Energy and Power Authority power plant construction site, Morgan City Police Spokesman Capt. James Blair said. The note made reference to a bomb being at the site, Blair said. Police were notified by site contractor, Robins & Morton Construction, of the note at 10:59 a.m. today.
