Police Reports 2-21-17

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Debra White, 47, of 1130 La. 83, Baldwin, was arrested Friday at 9:39 a.m. on a warrant charging her with criminal damage to property and released on a summons.
Wilbert Cooks, 40, of Thibodaux, was arrested Friday at 8:18 p.m. on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on a summons.
Tommy Hardy Jr., 27, of 137 Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested Friday at 8:45 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of direct contempt of court, speeding, no driver’s license and failure to honor written promise to appear. Bond is $415.
Antonio Collins Jr., 32, of 101 Pluto St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Friday at 11:57 p.m. on a charge of resisting an officer and criminal trespassing and released on $3,500 bond.
Calvin Watson III, 30 of 506½ Morris St., Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 2:25 a.m. on a charge of driving with a suspended license and released on a summons.
Jessica Foster, 35, of 234 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, was arrested Saturday at 9:22 a.m. on charges of disturbing the peace and resisting an officer; and failure to appear warrants on charges of direct contempt of court, speeding, following too close, and failure to honor written promise to appear. She was released on $1,705 bond.
Eugene Kristopher, 20, of Boutte, was arrested Saturday at 1:01 p.m. on a charge of suspended license, driving in the left lane-failure to yield, and speeding in a construction zone. He was released on a summons.
A juvenile male, 13, of Iowa, La., was arrested Saturday at 8:53 a.m. on a charge of indecent behavior with juveniles and was released to a guardian pending juvenile court.
Sean Rainey, 24, of 4212 Francis St,. Berwick, was arrested Saturday at 8:11 p.m. on a charge of suspended license and released on a summons.
Tremaine Francois, 26, of 505 Barrow St., Morgan City, was arrested Saturday at 11:45 .m. on charges of license plate light violation, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was released on a summons.
Ruby Griffin, 68, of 150 St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 10:17 a.m. on charges of speeding, suspended license and expired license plate, and was released on a summons.
Micah Scott, 25, of 145 Michael Lane, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 2:45 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of domestic abuse battery and criminal damage to property and was released on $5,000 bond.
Brian Dean, 25, of Lafayette, was arrested Sunday at 4:43 p.m. on charges of theft of goods and no driver’s license.
Also arrested was Derrick Williams Jr., 21, of Lafayette, on a charge of theft of goods.
A deputy investigating a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista issued a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) bulletin for two suspects traveling in a vehicle with two stolen big screen televisions. A deputy in Franklin located the vehicle on US 90 and stopped the suspect vehicle on Northwest Boulevard. The deputy and a Franklin Police officer detained the occupants of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Dean and the passenger as Williams. The deputy observed the stolen televisions in the back seat of the vehicle. Dean and Williams were also reportedly positively identified as the two suspects who exited the store without paying for the televisions. The deputy transported Dean and Williams to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
Jennifer Nichols, 38, of 204 California St., Berwick, was arrested Sunday at 9:33 p.m. on charges of theft of goods and possession of Schedule IV drugs, Klonopin. No bond was set.
Jan Keller, 53, of 171 Two Sisters Landing, Bayou Vista, was arrested Monday at 8:26 a.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of theft of goods. No bond was set.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchison reported the arrest of Darrell Wilson, 58, of Irish Bend Road, Franklin, Friday on a Third Ward Court warrant charging him with failure to appear on charges of illegal possession of stolen things and possession of stolen things. He was released to Franklin police.
Deron Bourgeois, 35, of Peach Street, Jeanerette, was arrested Sunday on failure to appear warrants from Jeanerette City Court on charges of domestic abuse battery, simple battery and simple assault; St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family, failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family, and failure to appear on charges of improper lane usage, operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. No bond was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Brandy Burleigh, 43, of Iberia Street, Franklin, Friday at 1:35 p.m. on a charge of felony theft. Burleigh allegedly continued to collect funds from a retirement system of a decease relative in the amount of $66,346. She was released on $10,000 bond.
Jonathan Rollins, 29, of Gibbs Drive, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 2:18 p.m. on a charge of resisting an officer and disturbing the peace, and a district court failure to appear warrant on a charge of criminal neglect of family. He was held on $6,079 bond.
Chaz Druilhet, 22, Cayce Street, Franklin, was arrested Saturday at 5:41 p.m. on an Iberia Parish sheriff’s failure to appear warrant on a charge of traffic violations and released on $100 bond.
Ebonie Brown, 27, of Easy Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 8:59 p.m. on a district court failure to appear warrant on charges of traffic violations and released on $5,000 bond.
The following two arrests stem from officers conducting a traffic stop in the area of Seventh Street on a vehicle with no license plate light and no brake light. When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the vehicle reportedly refused to stop leading officers on a pursuit that ended on Easy Street. The driver, identified as Watson, failed to stop at four stop signs, went the wrong way on a one way street and failed to stop at a stop sign. Officers allegedly observed a leafy substance thrown from the passenger window. McDaniel was identified as the passenger. When the vehicle came to a stop, Watson allegedly attempted to flee from officers on foot and was apprehended. Officers could allegedly smell a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle and also observed a green leafy substance on the seats of the vehicle. McDaniel allegedly admitted to throwing the narcotics out of the window. Also located in the vehicle was drug paraphernalia.
Demondre Watson, 20, of Baton Rouge, was charged with brake light, no license plate light, one-way road, four counts of stop sign, red light violation, aggravated obstruction of a highway commerce, reckless operation, resisting an officer and no driver’s license. No bond was set.
Lazin McDaniel Jr., 21, of Easy Street, Franklin, was charged with possession marijuana and drug paraphernalia and obstruction of justice. No bond was set.
Morris Thibeaux, 60, of Franklin, was arrested Monday at 9:47 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace intoxicated and a Third Ward Court failure to appear notice on the same, earlier charge. He was held on $736 bond.
