Police Reports 4-15-16
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Aeril Darby, 20, of Seventh Street, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 9:58 a.m. and charged on a warrant for the charge of simple battery. Darby was processed and held on a $500 bond.
John Henry, 30, of Trowbridge Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 10:41 p.m. for the charge of possession of Schedule IV narcotics. Henry was also arrested on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and no driver’s license on person. Henry was processed and held with no bond set.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
A juvenile male, 16, of Charenton, was arrested Wednesday at 9:47 a.m. and charged with illegal possession of stolen things. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released pending juvenile court proceedings.
Vivian Francis, 26, of Houston, Texas, was arrested Wednesday at 9:20 a.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended license, improper child restraint, and operating a vehicle with an obstructed windshield, and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Francis was transported to the parish jail for booking and later released on a $7,000 bond.
Subrena Henry, 55, of 415 Camille Drive, Patterson, was arrested Wednesday at 11:34 a.m. and charged with simple battery. Henry was released on a summons to appear in court.
Natasha Ruffin, 29, of 412½ Fourth St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 12:15 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding, operating a vehicle with an expired license plate, no child restraint and failure to honor written promise to appear. Ruffin was released on a $405 bond.
Gage Burgess, 17, of 1205 Cayce St., Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 1:46 p.m. and charged on a warrant for reckless operation of a vehicle. Burgess was released on a summons to appear in court.
Edward L. Williams, 40, of Amelia, was additionally charged with second degree battery Wednesday at 1:50 p.m. No bond was set.
Brian H. Henderson, 33, of Berwick, was additionally charged with aggravated second degree battery Wednesday at 1:58 p.m. No bond was set.
Lacey N. Horton, 27, of New Iberia, was arrested Wednesday at 4:41 p.m. and charged for possession of Lortab and possession of legend drugs without a prescription . No bond was set.
Calvin R. Cowart Jr., 37, of 505 Jackel Lane, Franklin, was arrested Wednesday at 1:50 p.m. and charged with a warrant from Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for three counts theft and three counts illegal possession of stolen property, possession of a legend drug and theft. No bond was set.
Irwin Francis, 47, of 1905½ Pine St., Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:24 a.m. and charged with reckless operation of a vehicle. Francis was released on a summons to appear in court.
