Police Reports 4-29-14

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Michael Olinsky, 26, of 445 Southeast Blvd., Lot B, Bayou Vista, was arrested Monday at 11:56 a.m. on charges of domestic abuse battery by strangulation and in the presence of a juvenile. No bond was set.
Carlos Alberto Pichs Franco, 42, of 1110C Ditch St., Morgan City, was arrested Monday at 8:47 a.m. on a charge of theft and held on $5,000 bond.
Christopher Hobbler, 26, of 761 Fairfield Avenue, Gretna, was arrested Monday at 12:53 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. He was released on $5,000 bond.
Kenneth Hamilton III, 26, of Oceanside, Calif., was arrested Monday at 12:57 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of resisting an officer by force, simple criminal damage to property, battery on an officer and disturbing the peace intoxicated. He was held on $10,000 bond.
Lydia J. Cruz, 28, of 911 Chestnut St., Morgan City, was arrested Monday at 1:50 p.m. on a warrant charging her with illegal possession of stolen things. No bond was set.
Lowanda Ruffin, 29, of 2308 Federal Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested Monday at 3:22 p.m. on a charge of theft of goods and released on a summons.
Ricky Giroir, 33, of Lafayette, was arrested today at 2:21 a.m. on charges of careless operation and open alcohol container. He was released on a summons.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Barry Darby, 55, of Alexander Street, Franklin, Monday at 9 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on a charge of theft. He was held on $132 bond.
Patricia Jones, 54, of B Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 9:18 a.m. on charges of theft of goods and possession of a Schedule III narcotic. No bond was set.
Jermaine Jones, 30, of B Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 9:29 p.m. on charges of disturbing the peace, possession of synthetic marijuana and resisting arrest. Jones was held on $3,250 bond.
Jeremy Perro, 32, of Lafayette, was arrested today at 12:11 a.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace and held on $250 bond.
