Police Reports 7-1-16
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests:
Kayla Parfait, 21, of Houma, was arrested Thursday at 12:20 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of resisting an officer, speeding and no driver’s license. Bond is set at $1,500.
Crystal L. Gaspard, 31, of Broussard, was arrested Thursday at 3:28 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on charges of direct contempt and careless operation and was held on $268 bond.
Varice K. Richardson, 22, of 161 Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested Thursday at 4:30 p.m. on a failure to appear warrant on a charge of disturbing the peace by fighting and held on $250 bond.
Shane Parenteau, 27, of Jena, was additionally charged with entering contraband into a jail and held with no bond.
Sandra Rogers, 55, of 201 Nicklaus St., Apt. 1, Berwick, was arrested Thursday at 8:12 p.m. on charges of improper lane use, flight from an officer and failure to signal a lane change.
The K-9 Unit traveling on US 90 west in the Morgan City area reportedly observed a vehicle cross onto the shoulder of the roadway and initiated a traffic stop. The driver pulled to the side of the roadway and stopped. The deputy allegeldy observed the driver pull back onto the highway and drive away from the area. The deputy followed, observing the driver commit additional traffic violations. The driver came to a stop in Berwick where the deputy spoke with her and identified her as Rogers. Following the traffic stop investigation, Rogers was transported to the parish jail for booking. Rogers was released on a $1,500 bond.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Xavier McGhee, 25, of Magnolia Street, Franklin, Thursday at 12:15 p.m. on district court failure to appear warrants on charges of possession of marijuana-fourth offense, resisting an officer with force and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.
Anthony Wells, 63, of Antigo Alley, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:32 p.m. on a charge of driving under suspension and released to appear in court.
Noemie Derouen, 28, of A Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 8:18 p.m. on an Iberia Parish warrant charging her with issuing worthless checks and was transferred.
