Police Reports 7-5-16

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests from the Uniformed Patrol Division and Corrections Division:
Kayla Parfait, 31, of Houma, was arrested Thursday at 12:20 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer, speeding and no driver’s license on person. Bail was set at $1,500.
Crystal L. Gaspard, 31, of Broussard, was arrested Thursday at 3:28 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt and careless operation of a vehicle. Bail was set at $268.
Varice K. Richardson, 22, of 161 Friendship Alley, Amelia, was arrested Thursday at 4:30 p.m. and charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Bail was set at $250.
Shane Parenteau, 27, of Jena, was additionally charged with entering contraband into a penal institution Thursday at 5:14 p.m. Parenteau remains incarcerated.
Sandra Rogers, 55, of 201 Nicklaus St. Apt. 1, Berwick, was arrested Thursday at 8:12 p.m. and charged with improper lane usage, flight from an officer and failure to signal a lane change. Rogers was released on a $1,500 bond.
Jeremy Stokes, 31, of 470 Gumpoint Lane, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 3:11 p.m. and charged with entering contraband into a penal institution. No bail was set.
Heather Vicknair, 34, of 186 Gibbs Road, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 9:16 a.m. and charged with speeding, no insurance and expired license plate. Vicknair was released on a summons to appear in court.
Robert Gros, 47, of 1101½ Sixth St., Morgan City, was arrested Friday at 5:11 p.m on charges of failure to yield to vehicles approaching intersections and driving under suspension. Gros was released on a summons to appear in court.
Reid Simoneaux, 20, of 3816 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was arrested Saturday at 12:09 a.m. and charged with possession of marijuana and a broken taillight. He was transported to the parish jail for booking and later released on a summons to appear in court.
Waynisha Jones Navy, 31, of 310 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, was arrested Saturday at 2:19 a.m. and charged with charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated, hit and run driving and driving under suspension. She was later released on a $7,477 bond.
Navarrete Santiago, 20, of 137 South Verrett St., Amelia, was arrested Saturday at 2:30 a.m. and charged for no driver’s license. Santiago was released on a summons to appear in court.
Lonnie Baker, 24, of 411 Taft St., Patterson, was arrested Saturday at 3:13 p.m. and charged for driving under suspension. He was released on a summons to appear in court.
Hugo Cantu, 33, of 106 Village Ln., Amelia, was arrested Sunday at 3:07 a.m. and charged for simple criminal damage to property and domestic abuse aggravated assault. Bail was set at $3,500.
Derrick Edmonds, 55, 1248 Martin Luther King Road., Charenton, was arrested Sunday at 10:23 a.m. on the charge of aggravated battery. No bail was set.
Marcelain McGoff, 19, of 3868 Irish Bend Roda, Charenton, was arrested Saturday at 6:56 p.m. and charged with simple battery. He was ultimately released after posting a $500 bail amount.
Blake Dinger, 23, of 330 Neptune St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Sunday at 5:08 p.m. and charged for disturbing the peace. He was later released on a summons to appear in court.
Benjamin Broussard, 30, of 126 Natalie Lane, Patterson, was arrested Monday at 10:33 p.m. and charged for disturbing the peace by intoxication, aggravated battery and simple assault. No bail was set.
Cary Cheramie, 31, of 133 Shady Grove, Patterson, was arrested Friday at 12:50 p.m. on charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoids, possession of Schedule IV (Tramadol), possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor and abuse of toxic vapors. No bail was set.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrests:
Xavier McGhee, 25, of Magnolia St., Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 12:15 p.m. and charged on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of possession of marijuana-fourth offense, resisting an officer with force and possession of drug paraphernalia. McGhee was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Anthony Wells, 63, of Antigo Alley, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 1:32 p.m. for the charge of driving under suspension. Wells was booked, processed and released to appear in Third Ward City Court.
Noemie Derouen, 28, of A Street, Franklin, was arrested Thursday at 8:18 p.m. and charged on a warrant for Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office for the charge of issuing worthless checks. Derouen was booked, processed and released to Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Detra Thomas, 38, of Plantation Drive, Franklin, was arrested on Friday at 8:58 p.m. on a warrant for simple battery on a juvenile. Thomas allegedly struck her juvenile son in the throat. Thomas was booked, processed, and released on a $500 bond.
The following two arrests stem from officers conducting a walkthrough at a local business on Carl C Foulcard Dr. Officers allegedly observed a large crowd of people gathered in the business and observed two females fighting in the middle of the crowd. The fight was broken up by officers and both females were escorted outside and arrested.
Shaynn Williams, 32, of Willow Street, Franklin, was arrested Sunday at 1:58 a.m. on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Williams was booked, processed, and released on a $500 bond.
Shanquelyn Druilhet, 39, of Fox Lane, Franklin, was arrested on Sunday at 1:58 a.m. on the charge of disturbing the peace by fighting. Druilhet was additionally charged with aggravated battery. While incarcerated, Druilhet allegedly kicked a cell door causing the door to strike an officer. Druilhet was booked, processed, and transferred to St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Manuel Willis, 52, of Canal Drive, Franklin, was arrested on Monday at 7:33 p.m. on charges of domestic abuse battery-first offense and possession of Schedule I narcotic (marijuana)-first offense. Officers responded to a complaint on Canal Drive for a domestic disturbance. Upon officers’ arrival, contact was made with the victim, who stated that she was allegedly struck in the back of the head by Willis. Willis was then placed under arrest and upon searching him, officers located the narcotics on his person. Willis was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Timothy Robinson, 49, of Mechanic Street, Franklin, was arrested on Monday at 7:59 p.m. on the charge of aggravated battery. Officers responded to a welfare concern on Mechanic Street. Upon arrival officers spoke with several subjects who advised that Robinson allegedly put a rope around the victim’s neck, causing the victim to allegedly black out. Robinson was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reported the following arrests:
Randall Hughes, 52, of Dallas, Texas, was arrested Friday and charged with driving while intoxicated, no driver’s license on person and driving on the right side of the road and was incarcerated at the parish jail.
Camille Hebert, 20, of New Iberia, was arrested Saturday and charged with unlawful use of a state issued ID to enter a gaming facility and released on a summons.
Tanya Papillion, 35, of Opelousas was arrested Saturday and charged with theft and released on a summons.
