Three arrested on drug charges at Lake End

Three Arkansas residents were arrested after illegally occupying a cabin in Lake End Park, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Billie J. Windel, 20, of Bentonville, Arkansas, was arrested at 8:29 a.m. Monday on the charges of possession of Schedule I marijuana and criminal trespassing.
—Hannah M. Bruce, 17, of Springdale, Arkansas, was arrested at 8:29 a.m. Monday on the charges of possession of Schedule I marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and criminal trespassing.
—Michael P. Bruce, 25, of Springdale, Arkansas, was arrested at 8:29 a.m. Monday on the charges of possession of Schedule I marijuana and criminal trespassing.
Officers were dispatched to Lake End Park in regards to individuals inside one of the cabins without permission.
Officers arrived and made contact with the park manager, who stated that one of his employees found several individuals in one of the cabins that was supposed to be unoccupied. When officers arrived at the cabin, contact was made with Michael Bruce, Hannah Bruce and Windel.
They informed officers that they found the cabin unlocked and decided to spend the night. All subjects were placed under arrest.
Officers also located marijuana in the vehicle used by the individuals. Items used to smoke illegal narcotics were found in the possession of Hannah Bruce.
They were all transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Blair reported the following arrests:
—Yosheka B. Hayes, 28, of Wren Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:40 a.m. Monday on a warrant for unauthorized use of an access card. Hayes was located on Mallard Street and placed under arrest for an active warrant for the Morgan City Police Department.
The warrant stems from an incident on Aug. 12 which alleges that Hayes made an unauthorized transaction with a debit card totaling $50. Hayes was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 32 complaints and reported no arrests in east St. Mary Parish.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Gregory Wilkes, 32, of the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Patterson, was arrested at 4:08 p.m. Sunday on the charge of simple battery-domestic. Wilkes was jailed with no bail set yet.
—Anna E. Sauseda, 32, of the 400 block of Clements Street in Patterson, was arrested at 6:51 p.m. Monday on the charge of simple battery on a juvenile. Sauseda was jailed and no bail set.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrests:
—Brent Dalton, 35, of Sidney Jo Lane in Berwick, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. Friday on warrants charging him with prohibited acts Schedule II methamphetamine, possession of Schedule IV Xanax, prohibited acts Schedule II hydrocodone, prohibited acts Schedule II methadone, prohibited acts Schedule III Subutex, possession of marijuana second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dalton was transferred to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville for holding.
—Taylor Murphy, 20, of Greenleaf Boulevard in Morgan City, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Sunday on the charge of simple battery. Murphy was jailed with bail set at $300.
—Nicholas Grimmett, 35, of Cypress Lane in Berwick, was arrested at 1:20 a.m. Sunday on the charge of simple battery. Grimmett was released on $300 bail and transferred to the Morgan City Police Department on a warrant.
Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the following arrest relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Aaron Simoneaux, 26, of Roderick Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 5:26 p.m. Friday on the charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon of certain felonies, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of Schedule II methamphetamine.
Simoneaux was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville.
