GLADYS THIBODEAUX BROUSSARD

October 18, 1913 – September 28, 2016
Funeral services for Gladys Thibodeaux Broussard will be held during a 1 p.m. Mass of Christian burial at the Church of the Assumption in Franklin on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016.
She will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Lloyd Benoit will be the Celebrant for the Mass and conduct the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Donat T. Boucher, Todd M. Boucher, Todd Martin, Connor Martin, Michael Thibodeaux, and Brian Doré. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Morrow and Davis Austria. A gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday at the church from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
Gladys was born in New Iberia on Oct. 18, 1913 to the late Norbert Thibodeaux and the late Maggie Bellot Thibodeaux. She was a longtime resident of Franklin, where she passed away at the age of 102 on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, just 20 days shy of her 103 birthday.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Martin and her husband Camille; two grandsons, Donat T. Boucher and Todd M. Boucher; one step-grandson, Todd Martin and his wife Rachael; two step-great-grandchildren, Coleen Martin and Connor Martin; one step-great-great-granddaughter, Claire Lejeune; and one sister, Joyce Doré.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eric E. Broussard; three brothers, Wesley, Wade, and LeRoy Thibodeaux; and three sisters, Marjorie Stein, Mable Myers, and Carrie Broussard.
