Driver injured when car overturns

At about 7:45 a.m. today, a car attempting to cross Brashear Avenue in Morgan City ran into a stop sign and hit a guardrail causing the vehicle to flip and land on Fourth Street across from the doughnut shop, Morgan City Police Capt. Betty Augman said. The driver was the car’s lone occupant and was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries, Augman said. The crash is still under investigation, she said.
