The Patterson Volunteer Fire Department held its seventh annual golf tournament Saturday at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild near Patterson. Tournament proceeds help maintain firefighting equipment and support community outreach programs.

The Society for Protective Coatings’ Gulf Coast Chapter held its inaugural golf tournament Oct. 30 at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild near Patterson. SSPC regulates specifications for painting in the oil and gas industry. Tournament organizers plan to have an annual event with proceeds going to scholarships benefitting students in the industry. Ryan Jennings is congratulated by Patterson High School Principal
Rachael Sanders for earning Closest-to-the-Hole honors at Patterson High School Booster Club’s Golf Tournament at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild Saturday. Jennings achieved the feat on hole No. 11. Jennings and his teammates from Conrad I, Carl Hebert and Taylor Jennings, finished first in the first flight of the
tournament with a score of 60. They won a scorecard playoff.
