AES pulls out win over CHS Bulldogs

YOUNGSVILLE _ Centerville slipped to 10-9 overall and 7-4 in 7-1A action with a 46-32 to the Ascension Episcopal Blue Gators here Monday.
AES is now 11-12 overall and 8-3 in 7-1A.
Centerville will host Lafayette Christian on Friday night, two games starting at 5.
A senior ceremony will be held on Friday between the girls varsity and boys varsity game.
AES took a 10-7 lead in the first quarter before Centerville went on a 12-9 run to knot the game at 19-19 at intermission. AES secured a short-lived 25-24 lead at the end of the third quarter. AES enjoyed a 21-8 flurry to notch the 46-32 league victory.
Marvin Strawder led Centerville with 19 points. Other top scorers for CHS were: Jaqualon Bourgeois, 5 points; Cole Candella, 2 points; Jayvien Thomas, 2 points; Desmond Monette, 2 points and Marquis Strawder, 2 points.
AES was led in scoring by Ronald LeBlanc with 15 points followed by Eli Mouton with 13 points and Jake Vascocy with 10 points.

YOUNGSVILLE _ Ascension Episcopal toppled the Centerville Lady Bulldogs 46-26 here Monday in District 7-1A action at the AES Gym.
Kayla Robinson led the Lady Bulldogs with 12 points while Rylie Candella tallied six points and Alyrria Austin fired in five points.
Christianna Lemoine and Abbie Boland each scored 13 points for the AES.
