CCHS all-district football

Central Catholic was represented on the All-District 7-1A teams with 17 selections, including Stefano Guarisco, who made the first-team at three different positions.
Guarisco made the elite squad on offense at running back and kick returner and also was a first-team selection at defensive back.
Other Central Catholic first-team selections included wide receiver Tyler Hoffpauir, defensive lineman Joe Michel and linebacker Garret LeBlanc.
District champion Vermilion Catholic swept the individual awards as running back Mike Campbell was Offensive Most Valuable Player, while defensive linemen Trey Ryder was Defensive Most Valuable Player. Vermilion Catholic’s Russell Kuhns was Coach of the Year.
Central Catholic had eight second-team selections: Nicholas Case at quarterback, Michel at offensive guard, Collin Conner at center, Matthew Barbier at kicker, Chaz Galloway on the defensive line, Sage Thibodaux at linebacker, Charlie Barron at defensive back and Case at punter.
The Eagles’ honorable mention selections were Eriq Blanchard on offense and TJ Ruffin and Samuel Guarisco, both on defense.
