CCHS places five on all-state team

The Central Catholic Lady Eagles placed five members of its squad on the Louisiana Sports Writers Association Class 1A All-State squad, including two first-team selections.
Junior pitcher Megan Landry and senior outfielder Geralyn Garrett made the elite squad, while senior Kimberly Russo and juniors Brittany Longman and Bridgette Swan were honorable mention selections.
No individual statistics from their seasons were available this morning.
