CCHS places four on first team

Central Catholic High School placed four players on the All-District 7-1A softball team.
Sophomore pitcher Sarah Thomas, sophomore second baseman Kelly Russo, sophomore outfielder Kaleigh Navarro and junior utility selection Hallie Autin.
Central Catholic had three second-team selections: freshman shortstop Brooke Lipari, junior outfielder Emma Aucoin and sophomore utility selection Taylor Picou.
The Lady Eagles had three honorable mention picks: sophomores Tori Estay and Cameron McDaniel and senior Jordan Morvant.
Central Catholic finished district play in a tie for third place with Centerville with a 9-5 mark.
District champion Hanson Memorial swept the individual honors as senior pitcher Sarah Sonnier was the district’s most valuable player, while Paige Cavillan was the district’s coach of the year.
