CCHS softball tourney set to begin Friday

Central Catholic’s annual softball tournament will begin Friday and continue Saturday at the Amelia Recreation Center.
The event will feature 10 teams playing on adjacent fields. In addition to host Central Catholic, other participants are: Patterson, Centerville, Franklin, West St. Mary, Vandebilt Catholic, Houma Christian, South Terrebonne, Ellender and Highland Baptist.
Tri-City area games on Friday include Central Catholic facing Centerville at 3 p.m. on field two, followed by Patterson meeting Ellender at 5:15 p.m. on field two.
On Saturday, Tri-City area action includes Central Catholic facing Patterson at 11:15 a.m. on field two, Vandebilt Catholic meeting Patterson on field two at 3:45 p.m. and Central Catholic facing West St. Mary at 6 p.m. on field two.
