CCHS softball tourney will begin Friday in Amelia

Central Catholic will host its annual softball tournament, beginning Friday and ending Saturday at the Amelia Recreation Complex.
In addition to the host team, the tournament also will feature St. Martinville, West St. Mary, South Lafourche, Franklin and Ellender.
Action will begin Friday when St. Martinville meets West St. Mary in a 3:30 p.m. contest, while South Lafourche will play Franklin at 5:30 p.m. and Central Catholic and Ellender will play at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, games will be held on two fields.
At 9 a.m., Ellender and Franklin will meet as well as South Lafourche and West St. Mary.
At 11 a.m., Central Catholic and South Lafourche will play followed by St. Martinville and Franklin.
Action will conclude at 2 p.m. when Central Catholic meets St. Martinville and Ellender plays West St. Mary.
