Centerville Lady Bulldogs edge Covenant Christian

CENTERVILLE _ The Centerville Lady Bulldogs closed out the regular season with 14-10 victory over Covenant Christian here Tuesday at Lady Bulldog Field.
Centerville posted a 12-11 overall record with a 9-5 District 7-1A won-loss mark on the season.
Ashton Landry recorded the win in the circle Tuesday, tossing seven complete innings, giving up 7 hits, 5 earned runs, 4 walks while striking out 7.
Leading hitters for Centerville were: Ashton Landry, 4 for 5, run; Victoria Theriot, 3 for 4, 2 runs; Grace LeBlanc, 1 for 4, run; Kennan Stelly, 3 for 5, double, 3 RBIs; Robyn Romero, 1 for 2, double, 3 runs, RBI; Hailey McDaniel, 3 for 5, 4 runs, 2 RBIs; Rylie Candella, 2 for 3, triple, 3 RBIs, 3 runs and Rachel LeBlanc, 3 for 5, 3 RBIs.
Centerville (12-11, 9-5) will await the Class 1-A playoff pairings for its next outing.
