Patterson High School’s game with Ellender has been relocated from South Terrebonne High School to Patterson High School, Patterson announced Tuesday.
While Ellender, which plays its games at South Terrebonne in Bourg, was scheduled to host the game, the game was moved to Patterson due to unsafe field conditions following rain, according to www.bayoupreps.com
“They’ve done a good job of communicating with me and our people over here about, of course, the situation over there,” Patterson head coach Marvin Dantzler said Wednesday.
While he said the teams were trying to get it the game over there on Thursday, but Dantzler said “all the fields are in bad shape.”
Dantzler said he offered to play the game at Patterson Friday instead of trying to play a Saturday game because Patterson’s field is in “pretty good shape,” Dantzler said.
“It worked out for everybody, but we still have to prepare and get ready” for Ellender, Dantzler said.
Friday’s game at Patterson High will kick off at 7 p.m.
