Hanson Tigers shut out LCA

John Guienze and Evan Thibodeaux combined on a 3-hitter, leading the Hanson Memorial Tigers to an 11-0 District 7-1A victory over the Lafayette Christian Academy Knights Thursday at Amar Lancon Field.
Guienze was nearly perfect while notching the mound victory, working three complete frames, allowing no runs while surrendering two hits with three strikeouts and no walks. He faced 11 batters while throwing 43 total pitches with 32 strikes and 11 balls on the day.
Thibodeaux appeared in relief of Guieze, tossing two complete frames, not allowing a run while giving up one hit with no walks and one strikeout. He threw a total of 20 pitches with 17 strikes and three balls in his outing.
Guienze and Spencer Bishop led the Tigers in the batter’s box with triple while Bo Barrilleaux also clubbed a double.
