HMS Tigers down CCHS Eagles

The Hanson Memorial Tigers rolled up a 44-38 District 7-1A victory over the Central Catholic Eagles Friday at the Billy Gene Talbot Gym.
Hanson gained control in the third quarter by taking a nine-point 33-24 advantage. Hanson opened with an 8-6 lead at the end of the first quarter before holding a 19-18 bulge at intermission. The Tigers benefited from a 14-6 third quarter run en route to the 44-38 victory.
Jacob Steward led the Tigers in scoring with 16 points on seven field goals, including a pair of treys. Bo Barrilleaux poured in 11 points for the Tigers, knocking down two deuces, one trey and 5 of 7 freebies.
Rounding out the scoring for the Tigers were: Royce Norton, 7; Jacob Hebert, 3; Clint Young, 3 and Josh Sanders, 2.
Hanson will play at Gueydan on Tuesday in District 7-1A.
