Lady Hornets beat Lady Jills

The Franklin Lady Hornets knocked off the Patterson Lady Jills 56-49 Tuesday in District 9-3A action at the FSHS Gym.
Franklin opened with a 21-8 first quarter lead before racing out front by a 37-22 advantage at the half. Franklin held a 48-43 advantage at the end of three quarters en route to the 56-49 victory.
Franklin’s Fabian Small and Quanta Jones finished with in double figures with 24 and 18 points respectively.
Small poured in 24 points on nine field goals and 6 of 7 free throws. Jones drained a pair of treys, three deuces and 6 of 8 free throws for her 18 points.
Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Hornets were: Wynesha Jenkins, 5; Kaira Butler, 4; Mai Francis, 2 and Chardonnae Parker, 1.
Franklin will host Berwick on Friday at 6 p.m.
