Lumberjills win district opener
Patterson High School opened District 8-3A action with a 31-29 victory against North Vermilion on the road Friday.
No individual stats were available.
Patterson (4-5 overall, 1-0 in district) will return to action Tuesday when it hosts Franklin in district play in a 6 p.m. contest.
Berwick falls
to E.D. White
The Berwick Lady Panthers dropped their District 8-3A opener to E.D. White, 59-12, in Thibodaux Friday.
Mary Jordan Melancon led the Lady Panthers with six points.
Berwick (1-7, 0-1) will return to action Tuesday when it hosts North Vermilion in a 6 p.m. contest.
CCHS games to be broadcast
The Central Catholic Lady Eagles’ contests in its Christmas Classic will be broadcast by KBZE 105.9 FM and KFRA 1390 AM.
Central Catholic’s game today against Vandebilt Catholic will begin at 4:30 p.m., while the Lady Eagles will meet Brusly at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
