MCHS competes at track regional

The Morgan City High School Lady Tigers participated in the Class 4A Region III Championship track and field meet at South Terrebonne High School Wednesday.
While the Lady Tigers had competitors in three events — the 4x200-meter relay, the 100-meter dash and the 4x100-meter relay in action, Morgan City was unable to advance any to state competition next week.
Morgan City’s 4x100-meter relay of Alisha Singleton, Sh’Diamond Holly, Hailey Lewis and Ke’aira Turner finished fourth with a time of 50.26.
Morgan City’s 4x200-meter relay of Jaden Walker, Holly, Lewis and Singleton finished ninth with a time of 1:52.43.
In individual competition, Singleton finished 10th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.41.
In team scoring, Morgan City finished tied with Salmen for 19th place with four points. Vandebilt Catholic won the regional title with 80 points.
