MCHS Lady Tiger bowlers advance in postseason

Morgan City High School’s Lady Tiger bowling team advanced to Bi Regionals after knocking off South Terrebonne 17.5-9.5 in their lone regional contest Monday at Creole Lanes in Houma.
Morgan City was led by Meghan Amador’s 527 series. She bowled games of 203, 182 and 142.
Hannah Pipes and Cayce Keton turned in series of 467 and 438, respectively, in the win.
Pipes had games of 173, 145 and 149, while Keton had games of 167, 130 and 141.
Other top games for Morgan City included Ali Tregle, 142; Alyssa Rich, 139; and Marissa Davis, 134.
Morgan City will bowl again this coming Monday at Bi Regionals at Holiday Lanes in Bossier City.
Also at regionals, Morgan City boys were eliminated by E.D. White, 16-11, in first-round action.
Jayson Hidalgo led Morgan City with a 545 series (177, 167, 201), while Hau Vo added a 518 series (224, 165).
Other top games by Morgan City included Joey Jeter with a 206 and Jonathan Jones with a 164.
However, Hidalgo and Vo advanced to Bi Regionals in the singles competition.
Vo advanced with a 204 average, while Hidalgo had a 185 average.
In other regional boys’ action, Central Catholic dropped its opening round match to Vandebilt Catholic 25-2.
Kyle Autin led Central Catholic with a 503 series (161, 173, 169).
Other top games included Josh Abney’s 185 and 211 and David Laubach’s 198.
On the girls’ side, Central Catholic’s Ann Mary Dupuis also qualified for Bi Regionals with a 146 average.
