St. Mary Pony 14s win

The St. Mary Parish Pony 14-year-old All-Stars started its action in the Pony 14 & Under Section Tournament with a 16-4 win against Loreauville in five innings Thursday.
Lukas Carnley and Caleb Bernard combined for a one-hitter in the victory, with Carnley earning the win.
Carnley pitched 2.2 innings and surrendered no hits, walked three and fanned two.
In 2.1 innings of relief, Bernard surrendered one hit, walked one and fanned seven.
Offensively, Carnley led St. Mary with a 2-for-4 performance with a triple, two RBIs and three runs, while Patrick Robertson was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run.
Other top contributors were Reid Wiley, 1-for-1, an RBI and two runs; Joel Singleton, 1-for-3, two RBIs and a run; John Pat Dupuy, 1-for-1, a run; and Kyle Pitre and Kyle Boudreaux, each 1-for-3 with two runs apiece.
St. Mary will continue tournament action Saturday at 11 a.m. against Arnaudville.
