Taco Bell tops Frank’s Agency

Taco Bell rallied from a 1-0 deficit to defeat Frank’s Agency 5-2 in Swampland League action Monday.
While Frank’s Agency (Patterson) took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, Taco Bell (Berwick) responded with two runs each in the fifth and sixth innings and another in the top of the seventh for a 5-1 lead.
Frank’s Agency plated a run in the bottom of the seventh.
Daniel Gray earned the win in relief. In 2.2 innings, he surrendered an earned run, four walks and fanned five.
Cameron Wiley earned the save. In 0.1 innings, he surrendered a walk and fanned one.
D.J. Robicheaux started for Taco Bell, and in 3.2 innings, he surrendered an unearned run on two hits and fanned two.
Taco Bell’s defense overcame three errors and its pitching, six walks, for the win.
Chet Aucoin led Taco Bell with a 2-for-2 performance with a double and an RBI, while Brandon Fryou was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Other contributors included Tanner Caldwell, 1-for-2, two RBIs; Daniel Gray, 1-for-2, a double and an RBI; and Braden Billiot, 1-for-3.
Sirbatian Charles suffered the loss for Frank’s Agency (1-4)
Offensively, Bryce Beaubouef had a double, while Brennan Gouaux and Jake Lagrange also had a hit.
In Junior varsity action, Taco Bell defeated Frank’s Agency 10-0.
Kyle Boudreaux earned the win for Taco Bell.
Offensively, Bradley Gray led Taco Bell with a 2-for-3 performance with two RBIs, while Kyle Pitre was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.
Other contributors included Patrick Robertson, 1-for-3 with an RBI; and Lucas Hatch, Grant Oubre, Caleb Bernard and Abram Gilder, all 1-for-3.
Taco Bell (1-2) will return to action today when it travels to face South Lafourche. Junior varsity is set for a 5 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
Last Thursday, Frank’s Agency fell to Synergy Bank (E.D. White) 12-0 in five innings.
Frank’s Agency was no-hit in the contest, and Brennan Gouaux took the loss on the mound.
Frank’s Agency will return to action today when it travels to face LaShip (Houma Christian). Junior varsity is set for 5 p.m. and varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
Halimar Shipyard’s
contest postponed
Halimar Shipyard’s (Central Catholic) home contest Monday against the Diamondbacks (Terrebonne) was postponed. It will be made up June 11 with junior varsity at 5 p.m. and varsity to follow at 7 p.m. in Amelia.
Halimar (2-0) will play today in a makeup contest at Jester’s Court (Central Lafourche). Junior varsity is set for 1 p.m. with varsity to follow at 3 p.m.
Skipper’s remains
perfect
Skipper’s Sporting Goods remained perfect in Swampland League action with a 5-3 win against the Diamondbacks (Terrebonne) in Swampland action Thursday.
Skipper’s, which received a bye Monday, will play at Central Lafourche today. Junior varsity is set for a 5 p.m. start with varsity to follow at 7 p.m.
