Tri-City area track report

Tri-City area track and field high school teams have been in action at various meets this season.
On March 7, Central Catholic and Berwick’s Kennedy Sampey attended the E.D. White Catholic Relays in Thibodaux, while on March 12, Berwick’s Lady Panthers attended the Lady Bobcat Relays in Erath.
Patterson, Berwick and Central Catholic all attended the Snooks Relays on March 14 where Central Catholic’s Sal Grizzaffi earned the meet’s Outstanding Male Track award after winning the 1,600-meter run and 3,200 meter runs in 4:56.90 and 10:48.94, respectively and placed fourth in the 800-meter run at 2:12.25.
On March 21, Berwick and Central Catholic competed at the E.D. White Cardinal Relays.
Both Berwick teams placed second in the meet with the Panthers totaling 130 points and the Lady Panthers, 146.
On March 22, Morgan City and Patterson attended the Foster/Perry Relays at Franklin High School.
