Jim Bodin of Morgan City placed third in the 50-60-yearold division of the Red Stick Classic in Baton Rouge Saturday at the Crowne Plaza Executive Center. The event featured competitors from across Louisiana and Mississippi. Bodin, 72, said there is no competition category for his age group, so he competed with the 50-60-year-old division. Morgan City’s Jim Bodin participated in a physique contest in New Orleans last month. Bodin, 70, placed fifth in the class for competitors, ages 45 and older. He was one of eight competitors in the age group. Bodin, who said he has always has been an active person, began training about three weeks ago for the event. Last year, Morgan City’s Jim Bodin was told that his way of life would have to change because of health reasons.
