Carpenter-Edwards wed in Baton Rouge

Courtney Ann Carpenter and Justin Matthew Edwards were married at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. The Rev. Than Vu officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Wendy S. Carpenter-Landry of Metairie and Dwayne A. Carpenter of Mandeville. She is the granddaughter of Wanda Schenewerk of Metairie and the late Melvin Schenewerk.
The groom is the son of Judy G. and Terry E. Edwards of Baton Rouge. He is the grandson of the late Eloise and Wilfred Gowland and the late Peggy and T. Edwards.
Ashlie L. Carpenter was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Mandy L. Ford, Lelia A. Gowland and Tessa M. Leblanc.
William T. Edwards was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Robert W. Gunn, William A. Peacock and Brad D. Vavasseur.
Ushers were Charles L. Gowland and Wesley W. Gowland.
Readers were Paul L. Gowland, Michelle N. Smith and Geoffrey D. Taylor.
A reception followed at White Oak Planation.
They honeymooned in St. Lucia and reside in Baton Rouge.
