Loupe-Hartmeyer married on Feb. 28

Carmen Christina Loupe and Taylor Michael Hartmeyer were united in matrimony Feb. 28 during a double-ring ceremony at The Gatehouse in Baton Rouge. The Rev. John Kimball officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Mary Loupe of Morgan City. The groom is the son of Jeffery and Marcy Hartmeyer of Savannah, Ga.
The outdoor ceremony took place in a gazebo. Music was by harpist Ashley Tomin.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in an A-line satin gown overlaid with ivory lace and complemented with a chapel train. Cap sleeves and an illusion-lace back highlighted the empire waist that was intricately detailed with beads.
Her tulle veil was trimmed with pearls.
She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, hydrangeas, pearls and tulle accents that was made special by the addition of blush roses from her mother’s wedding bouquet.
Mariah Loupe was her sister’s maid of honor. She wore a sleeveless dress in navy blue fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and keyhole back with an illusion mesh covering. The skirt featured soutache detailing and a bow sash at the waist.
She carried a bouquet of blush pink and ivory roses.
Bridesmaid Shelbi Aucoin was dressed identical to the maid of honor.
Flower girl was Temperance Salter.
Morgan Hartmeyer was his brother’s best man and Stephen Schaub was groomsman.
Ushers were Joshua Loupe and Nicholas Loupe, brothers of the bride and Dylon Hedgespeth.
A reception immediately followed. For the couple’s first dance, the bride’s father and Christina Guagliardo sang a duet of “From This Moment.”
The bride is a graduate of Nicholls State University.
The groom is a student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at Don’s Seafood in Baton Rouge.
The newlyweds took a honeymoon cruise to Cozumel and Progresso, Mexico. They reside in New Iberia.
