Mayons celebrate 50 years of marriage

Scharlette and Joe Mayon celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Aug. 9 with family and friends at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Bayou Vista. They were married Aug. 7, 1964, in Stephensville. The golden-anniversary celebration was hosted by their sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Paulette Mayon, of Thibodaux, and Joey and Susan Mayon, of Patterson, along with their two grandchildren.
