Sonnier-Fontenot exchange vows

Natalyn Luci Sonnier and Lance Christopher Fontenot were united in holy matrimony April 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson. The Rev. Herb Bennerfield officiated the nuptial mass.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Barthelemy of Patterson and the late Mervin Antoine Sonnier. She is the granddaughter of Andrus LeCompte of Patterson and the late Odelia Melancon LeCompte and Olia Fontenot Sonnier of Basile and the late Douglas Sonnier.
The groom is the son of Heidi Reece Fontenot of Beaumont, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Reece Sr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Mason Fontenot Sr.
Escorted by Dan Barthelemy, the bride wore a V-neck halter gown in white organza designed with a corset back and dropped waist. The skirt featured layers of ruffled organza with flowers, draping, embroidered lace and an attached train.
Gracing her head was a fingertip-length veil with embroidered edges. She carried a round bouquet of ivory roses with pale blush Anna roses embellished with a round brooch.
Dana Bernard LaTour, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor. Katelyn Sonnier, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tara Mouton, Janessa Derousselle, Valerie Mouton Thibeaux and Andrea LeCompte, all cousins of the bride, and Tish Ligon, cousin of the groom. Junior bridesmaids were Emily Thibeaux and Shelby Thibeaux, cousins of the bride.
Flower girl was Laila Ligon, cousin of the groom. Kristopher Malbrough, cousin of the groom, served as ring bearer.
Bolaji Oyejobi served as best man. Groomsmen were Jarrad Richardson, Trey LeCompte and Brinton LaTour, all cousins of the bride; Christopher Elder; Kory Briggs, cousin of the groom; and Michael Villafranca.
Ushers were James LeCompte, uncle of the bride, and Chad Bernard and Jonath Guillory, cousins of the bride.
Kameron Briggs and Kaiden Briggs, godchildren of the groom, were program attendants.
Brandi Murray was the reader for Mass.
A reception followed at NicoBella in Morgan City.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s mother at Tampico’s in Morgan City.
The bride is a graduate of Patterson High School, Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, and Our Lady of the Lake College. She is a physician assistant in Plaquemine.
The groom is a graduate of West Brook Senior High. He served in the U.S. Navy for more than seven years. The groom is employed at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital.
They honeymooned in Paris, the couple resides in Baton Rouge.
